1974

Solera Materie Plastiche s.r.l. established in Tuscany and started its challenge in the vacuum forming field. From the very beginning Solera invested most of its resources in high tech modern machinery and continuously improving the quality standards.

1976

In the Venetian region, Thermoform SpA specialized in thermoforming components for leisure vehicles, proposing innovative design concepts becoming very popular. Thermoform entered in the IVG COLBACHINI Group during 1988, consolidating its finance structure.

Adoption of ISO 9001 Quality Management System

2009

Solera Spa and the IVG COLBACHINI GROUP run together along the conquest of a leadership position in the thermoforming field, crossing together the upcoming global market crise that affected most of the international industrial markets, giving ambitious goals in term of technology and quality level, and opening new markets. Solera-Thermoform Group SpA is born.

2012

Integration of the DIN 6701-2 Quality model for the use of adhesives for the modern production of railway vehicles.

2016

Adoption of ISO TS 16949:2009 Quality Management System to meet the requirements of the automotive industry

2018

Solera-Thermoform Group SpA makes up again, introducing the new brand name SOLTHERM, that will identify all future steps in strengthening its market leadership position in the thermoforming field.

2019

Solera-Themoform Group developes skills within WCM using state of the art manufacturing processes to deliver solutions to automotive and industrial producers.

Enhancement of the machine park with the introduction of a modern thermoforming machine for plastic plates up to 4000×2500 mm.

Expansion of mould and raw material storage rooms for 1500 sqm

Introduction of a protocol that regulates the measures to control the spread of Covid19 Virus at work. Adoption of hygiene measures, social distancing and use of health masks for all workers and visitors.

Machinery park upgrade through the installation of a brand new thermoforming machine 2000 x 1000 mm of the latest generation and a 5 axis CNC trimming center.

Adoption of Compliance 231 with introduction of the Code of Ethics and the Disciplinary System with a view to protecting the health and safety of workers.

Updating of the machinery fleet with the installation of a latest generation 2000 x 1000 mm thermoforming system and a new 5-axis CNC cutting system.

Construction of a 1000m2 building used as a compactable intermediate warehouse to support production

2022

Marketing of the Plus 2 pop up roof for campervans entirely designed and manufactured by Solera-Thermoform Group with recyclable thermoformed plastics.

2023

Installation of a modern photovoltaic system consisting of 2000 independent panels installed on the main warehouse and a max installed power of 1,150,000 KWh/year.
