Folding roofs
Solera-Thermoform Group is about to enter the European market with an innovative double shell pop-up roof with integrated front spoiler, built with thermoformed plastic material with high mechanical and thermal resistance. The roof designed for installation on Ducato, Jumper and Boxer campervans with H2 chassis in all lengths makes it possible to obtain a sleeping area for two people with a 200 x 130 cm mattress and over 470 mm of free space for the legs.
The 70 x 50 cm opening also allows easy access to the sleeping compartment from inside the vehicle. The lifting of the roof is made possible with minimal effort by an efficient mechanical opening system supported by gas springs. The comfort of the Plus2 roof is immediately perceived by the generous internal volume with a height of 900 cm and by the premium equipment which includes double LED lighting, a digital clock, double glove compartment and drinks compartment as well as two 5V USB sockets for charging electronic devices or mini travel fans. The presence of three windows, two of which with mosquito nets and blackout curtains together with a pleasant aesthetic finish of the light-colored interiors make the stay inside the roof particularly pleasant. For the most demanding public it will be possible to install an optional 70×50 cm skylight from those already available on the market and the installation of solar panels using the plug-in electrical connector pre-assembled on the outside. The road safety tests related to mechanical, thermal and hermetic resistance were carried out in certified laboratories in collaboration with the TÜV Süd team. The Solera Plus2 pop-up roof will be exhibited in Düsseldorf at the Caravan Salon, Stand A83 Hall 13.
